Venting out

from the keyboards of misis_pb

Q:  What can really ruin a good day?
A:   A grumpy husband

You feel guilty for being late for work.  So you work your ass off for the first 1-2hours on your desk.  Then you realize, the husband who's in a far away land haven't sent any message for the last  12 hours so you start to worry.  You get so worried that you stop everything you're doing, ignore all the capital R-U-S-H stamped papers, and dial his number.  You then get to talk to him.  And find out that he just woke up and did not realize it was almost already too late. Then you tell him of your late night out and that you got and also lack sleep.  Then he asks you why.  Then you tell him, you should read your messages.  You say this to him because you took time to update him, 1)last night during the party; 2)early morning when you got home from the party; and 3)later in the morning when you were on your way to the office.  Then he annoyingly reacts saying "Not today.  You don't know what i went through".  Then you asks why he's reacting that way.  Then he answers again with the same line.  You then wonder what you said wrong that made him angry/annoyed.  Then you agree with yourself there is nothing wrong with what you said but you realize that you try to do something nice by calling and asking how he was.  Then you also start to get annoyed and feel bad.

Sh*t.  You think it'll ruin YOUR day if this happened to you?

Quite Inspiring

from the keyboards of misis_pb

Its another one of those days when Apartment Therapy caught my attention and spent almost 1 hour going through their site.  Some great finds that inspired me:

I LOVE how the vases' contrasting colors complement each other.

This one, I love the pink wallpaper used.

For this photo, what got my attention are the framed artwork.  Same artwork in different colors.  Nice.

"The early days of marriage are full of surprises - some nice, some nasty"

As the famous Forrest Gump line goes.. "Life is like a box of chocolate, you will never know what you're gonna get..."

No matter how much you think you already know your partner, there will always be surprises.  You may have had years together before the marriage, but its a lifetime we're talking about here!!

Like the jack in a box, let's try to see the fun side of every surprise.   It may seem nasty at start but Im sure there's a good and brighter side to it.  Besides, nasty is fun! :-)

Baby Oil's surprising use

from the keyboards of misis_pb

Polish Chrome with Baby Oil

Original Use: Keeping skin baby-soft.
Aha! Use: Polishing chrome. Apply a dab to a cotton cloth and use it to shine every-thing from faucets to hubcaps.
Reward: Shiny, happy surfaces from a medicine-cabinet staple. (Who actually owns chrome cleaner, anyway?).

"Marriage, according to the law of the country, is the union of one man with one woman voluntarily entered into for life to the exlusion of all others" - EXCERPTS FROM CIVIL MARRIAGE CEREMONY BOOKLET

Tip no. 1. But this does not apply to all marriages anymore since some states already allow same-sex marriage.

Above is a photo i took during our wedding preparation. We bought our "friendship ring" way back in 2005, which we also use as our wedding rings.  Bought in Ibay's silver shop in Baguio City.

365 ways to make the most of your marriage

from the keyboards of misis_pb

Its been almost 2 years since our wedding. It was just last night that i remembered this book given by a very good friend of my parents', Tita Rose, "365 WAYS TO MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR MARRIAGE".

After tucking ada in her room last night, I found this book together with other books that is recently "shelved" along the stairs. Um, we kind of used our stairs as bookshelves.

I brought it to our room and started reading the pages while Taal persistently tried to get it from me.  But i still managed to laugh over some lines and read it aloud for my husband tolisten.  Here are some of them:

57:  Computers are a great advantage of modern life, but they can also take over.  Know when to switch off!

59:  Young children can test  a marriage with their persisten physical demands.  You both need a rest sometimes.

61:  Seduction should not be lost after the honeymoon.

And so starting today, I will once in a while share some of Juliet Janvrin and Lucy Selleck's witty insights on how to make a the most of marriage.

My weekend expression

from the keyboards of misis_pb

And so while the husband was having his weekend basketball dose, a replay of the celtics vs. pistons game during saturday late afternoon, i found myself wanting to get hold of some paints and my favorite brush.   And these were the results:

I dunno yet what i will do with these  "work of art" (yeah right).  But for now, they're hidden in my pile of similar works inside my sketch pad.
